Shoe Covers: The New Wave?

This week was my birthday week, so I decided to have fun by making an outfit and doing a photoshoot. I've been trying my best to only use fabric from my stash instead of going out and buying new fabric. There was a houndstooth medium weight knit fabric I purchased a few months ago that I thought would look great on camera. I also had an idea to make some thigh-high shoe covers as it is so hard to find thigh-high plus-size boots, and I didn't want to spend any extra money.

Below are the original shoes. You might remember them from my last blog post. They are peep-toe booties that zip on the side.

I created a cover for the booties, then made an attachment, similar to tights, that give the appearance of thigh-high boots. I guess it's a two-in-one. You could cover the booties to make them a different print or color, or you could add the additional piece to create thigh-high boots.

I'm thinking about adding these to my website for sale. Could these be a thing? Would you wear them? Let me know below.
